Privacy policy

PackPilot is operated by LMC Tech ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use PackPilot, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect the minimum we need to run the service well.

What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
• Pack data — the details you enter to create packs (titles, topics, outcomes, organisation name, logo, brand colour and any local procedures text you choose to include) and the generated, edited content.
• Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference, but we never see or store your card details.
• Usage and security data — basic logs of significant account actions (sign-ins, purchases, pack generation and exports) including IP address, kept for security and audit purposes.
• Contact messages — if you contact us, we keep your message and email so we can reply.

How we use it

• To provide the service: generating, storing and exporting your packs.
• To take payment and manage subscriptions (legal basis: contract).
• To keep the service secure and investigate misuse (legitimate interests).
• To respond to your messages (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content of your packs for advertising or to train machine-learning models.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in our production database and object storage, hosted with reputable cloud providers. Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

• Account and pack data: for as long as your account is active.
• Payment records: 6 years, to meet accounting obligations.
• Security logs: up to 12 months.
• Contact messages: up to 24 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise any of them, email luke@lmctech.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

PackPilot uses a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
